You will design, implement, analyze, and modify new and existing programs, systems, and integrations for business or patient care needs across the NYPH enterprise. Responsibilities include documenting workflows on existing systems, implementing new streamlined platforms, building relationships with clinical users, and managing projects.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, analyze, and modify new and existing programs/systems/integrations for business or patient care needs.
  • Document workflows on existing systems and implement new, streamlined platforms.
  • Build relationships with clinical users as you document, configure, and test systems.
  • Utilize communication and leadership skills to drive meetings and manage projects.
  • Ensure compliance with Change Control policies and familiarity with Ticketing systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 to 7 years of previous work-related experience.
  • Epic Module Certification (obtained within 6 months of hire and renewed annually).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree or major in Computer Science.
  • Strong working knowledge of EDI standards and transactions (e.g., HL7, X12, EDIFACT), including healthcare and/or revenue cycle workflows.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and supporting complex enterprise interface solutions using engines such as Rhapsody, Corepoint, Cloverleaf (or equivalent).
  • Experience enabling secure and reliable exchange of clinical, ADT, orders, results, and revenue cycle data across EHRs, ancillary systems, and external partners while adhering to healthcare standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and supporting healthcare interoperability solutions leveraging FHIR, RESTful APIs with JSON payloads, including API lifecycle management, security (OAuth 2.0 / SMART on FHIR), compliance (HIPAA, CMS interoperability rules), integration with EHR platforms, and collaboration across technical, clinical, and business stakeholders.
  • Database/SQL experience.
  • EHR experience.
  • Experience with clinical applications and clinical/hospital operations.

Pay

Salary Range: $90,000 - $141,500/Annual

Schedule

This role requires on-site presence (variable by role). All employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
