Summary Stella Maris, located in Timonium Maryland, is looking for an experienced Infection Control Nurse to support their skilled rehab and long term care units. Responsibilities To manage the infection control program for the facility. Establishes, implements and reviews an effective infection control program for the facility that meets all government and industry regulations.Responsible for surveillance of nosocomial infections in the facility for both residents and employees, to include data collection and monthly reporting, and monitoring of compliance with infection control policies.Monitors, tracks, investigates and analyzes cause and spread of infections during an outbreak and communicates with all departments, Health Dept. and SVP, Clinical Operations. Initiates control measures and corrective action. Assures that all reportable diseases are reported according to Health department specifications.Maintains a complete and current manual of infection control policies and procedures, assuring regular review and updates, per COMAR 10.06.01.Chairs the Infection Control committee; reports quarterly to the QI committee and actively participates in quality improvement programs.Obtains information concerning the communicable disease status of any resident being admitted to the facility.Monitors and investigates infectious diseases, potentially harmful infectious exposures and outbreaks of infections among personnel and implements preventive measures.Educates and encourages employees to use good personal hygiene and infection control practices. Responsible for tuberculosis testing program, influenza and HBV vaccination programs for staff, residents and volunteers, to include maintenance of accurate records. #INDHP Requirements Job Requirements: Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse License in Maryland ICP (Infection Control Preventionist) Certification is required. CBIC (Certified Board Infection Control) Certification is preferredBSN preferredMinimum of five (5) years experience Min USD $38.05/Hr. Max USD $57.05/Hr. Salary Information Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
