Industrial Site Manager
Job Description
You will be purchasing ferrous and non-ferrous materials;
You will be handling management of site activities;
You will manage, coach, and motivate the team and complete the performance evaluations;
You will ensure the procedures of daily operations with the employees, and then monitor the execution of all their activities;
You will monitor staff and report on their results;
You will prioritize, analyze performance gaps, identify business opportunities, and ensure cost reductions, using available tools;
You will prepare any reports required for management;
You will work towards the achievement of budgetary financial results;
You will control inventory and quality.
Qualifications
- Three to five years' experience in a similar management position, ideally in the metal or industrial manufacturing sector;
- Strong execution and decision-making skills;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook);
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and motivational abilities;
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills;
- Strong written and verbal communication, active listening, and problem-solving capabilities;
- Loading trucks, equipment, rail cars, and assisting material handlers.
Work Environment
Regular exposure to outdoor climatic conditions;
Exposure to hazardous materials and industrial environments.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, stand, and move about the industrial site for extended periods;
- Capability to lift and carry materials up to 35 lbs occasionally;
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when necessary;
- Capacity to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended durations;
- Clear vision and hearing to monitor site operations and communicate with team members;
- Physical capability to respond to emergency situations and safety protocols.
