Manufacturing Site Manager
About the role
The successful Manufacturing Manager will lead and manage production operations across manufacturing, assembly, and packaging functions to meet customer demand, quality standards, and delivery schedules. They will also drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction, monitor and report on key performance indicators, collaborate with various teams, and support capital planning and process validation efforts.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage production operations across manufacturing, assembly, and packaging functions to meet customer demand, quality standards, and delivery schedules
- Develop and execute production plans while optimizing labor, equipment utilization, and material flow
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, GMP, safety standards)
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient manufacturing environment through strong adherence to safety and housekeeping standards
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams to support new product introductions and process improvements
- Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production staff, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
- Support capital planning, equipment selection, and process validation efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or 10+ years of Production Management experience
- 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in packaging, plastics, chemicals, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing environments
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (Required)
- Proven experience managing teams in a production-focused, hands-on environment
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, process optimization, and performance metrics
- Experience working with quality systems and audits (ISO, GMP, or similar)
- Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and production reporting tools
Qualifications
The successful applicant will have a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or 10+ years of Production Management experience, with 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in packaging, plastics, chemicals, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing environments. Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
