Site Manager (Manufacturing)
About the role
This role is responsible for the installation of Manufacturing Projects as well as Systems Site Management Support. The candidate will handle all phases of project implementation, including initial site layout, subcontractor management, customer management onsite, inventory management, jobsite safety, site communication, device troubleshooting, system checkout and start-up, validation of system throughput and efficiencies, and customer training.
Responsibilities
- Work with Project Manager and Project Engineers to assist with overall project execution.
- Conduct the full scope of project services as outlined in the role overview.
- Deliver successful projects with regards to customer satisfaction, schedule, time, and budget.
- Communicate effectively with other Toyota team members; keep your manager and Lead advised of schedule.
- Check and use voice mail / e-mail diligently; maintain team relationships.
- Communicate strategic information regarding suppliers, customers, and competition.
- Work with Project Engineering to create complete CAD packages for installation and as-built documentation.
- Collaborate with Software and Controls teams to ensure overall commissioning progresses as planned.
- Develop processes to support team growth.
- Recruit and critique key suppliers of technology/software.
- Help customers succeed in their specific markets.
- Deliver projects that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Deliver projects under budgeted time and hours.
- Develop repeat customers.
- Contribute to project teams, providing help outside of commissioning scope when required.
- Establish beneficial relationships with key supplier products and services.
- Develop new standards, techniques, or equipment to maintain Toyota Automated Logistics as an industry leader.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering or Technology OR 5+ years of industry experience.
- 5 years of industry experience (non-engineering degree).
- Hands-on mechanical and electrical capabilities.
- Extremely computer literate with MS Office products.
- AutoCAD experience preferred.
- PLC Programming preferred.
- Material Handling Experience required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be eligible to work in the USA long-term without sponsorship.
- 80% overnight travel (travel expenses paid by Toyota Automated Logistics).
