Industrial Maintenance Specialist

Job Roles And Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic industrial electrical systems.Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective solutions to minimize downtime.Maintain CNC fabrication equipment, including laser cutting machines, press brakes, waterjets, and supporting systems.Inspect, maintain, and repair motors, bearings, gearboxes, drive systems, and related components.Troubleshoot industrial electrical components, sensors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and pneumatic systems.Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, technical documentation, and equipment manuals.Document maintenance activities, repairs, work orders, and parts usage in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).Monitor spare parts inventory and communicate purchasing requirements.Coordinate with equipment manufacturers, contractors, and external service providers when specialized technical support is needed.Support production requirements while maintaining safe work practices and an organized work environment.Prioritize competing maintenance requests and production needs.Take ownership of equipment maintenance and contribute to equipment reliability improvements. Qualifications And Certifications High school diploma or equivalent.Demonstrated industrial maintenance experience and strong mechanical aptitude.Ability to troubleshoot equipment independently and complete repairs with minimal supervision.Working knowledge of industrial electrical components, motors, sensors, VFDs, and pneumatic systems.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment documentation.Strong mechanical troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.Familiarity with maintenance software or CMMS platforms.Ability to prioritize maintenance tasks while supporting production requirements.Must have a basic personal industrial maintenance tool set. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing or fabrication.Technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field.Experience maintaining Bystronic laser cutting machines, press brakes, or waterjet cutting equipment.Experience maintaining industrial air compressors and nitrogen generation systems.Experience with preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability improvements.
