Industrial Maintenance Apprentice

Roles and Responsibilities

• Learn and demonstrate the ability to practice safe work habits, proper tool selection and usage, and general shop practices.
• Aid with assigned preventive maintenance tasks and scheduled maintenance.
• Respond with the team to equipment stoppages/mechanical breakdowns.
• Avoid mechanical wear and assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and replacing mechanical drive and conveyor components.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.).
• Perform other duties deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfilling work schedules, adhering to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies, and procedures.
• Possess or attain licenses required by their respective municipal, county/ward or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components, and various other job-related equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Enrolled in a Technical/Trade or College program in industrial maintenance or related field.

Skills

• Ability to climb fixed and portable ladders to a height of twenty feet.
• Ability to stoop and bend while lifting weights up to fifty pounds.
• Ability to climb onto and crawl under machinery as required.

Pay

Starting salary range: $18.00 per hour.
