Industrial Maintenance Apprentice

Roles and Responsibilities

• Practice safe work habits, proper tool selection and usage, and general shop practices
• Absorb and demonstrate the ability to assist with assigned preventive maintenance tasks and scheduled maintenance
• Respond to equipment stoppage/mechanical breakdowns with the team
• Assist in identifying mechanical wear and troubleshoot/replace mechanical drive and conveyor components
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Possess or attain licenses required by their respective municipal, county/ward or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components and various other job-related equipment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Enrolled in a Technical/Trade or College program in industrial maintenance or related field

Essential Job Requirements

Salary Range: $25.00 per hour

Position requires the ability to:

• Climb fixed and portable ladders to a height of twenty feet
• Stoop and bend while lifting weights up to fifty pounds
• Climb onto and crawl under machinery as required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a Technical/Trade or College program in industrial maintenance or related field
