Industrial/Construction Electrician

Key Responsibilities

  • Install electrical systems, conduit, cable trays, wiring, panels, switchgear, motors, and control systems in industrial settings.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, electrical drawings, and specifications.
  • Bend and install EMT, rigid, and PVC conduit.
  • Pull wire and terminate electrical connections according to project specifications.
  • Install motor controls, PLC-related components, and industrial equipment.
  • Ensure all work complies with NEC standards, local codes, and company safety policies.
  • Operate power tools, lifts, and testing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Cookordinate with supervisors, project managers, and other trades on-site.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Complete daily reports and documentation as required.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A completion of an electrical apprenticeship program is preferred.
  • Three or more years of industrial electrical construction experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of NEC code and industrial electrical systems is required.
  • The ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics is required.
  • Experience with:
    • Motor controls
    • MCCs (Motor Control Centers)
    • Industrial lighting systems
    • Conduit installation and wire pulling
    • Troubleshooting electrical systems is a plus
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
  • The ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel if required is required.

Physical Requirements

  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • The ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and work in confined spaces.
  • The ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
  • The ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.

Work Environment

  • Industrial construction sites
  • Outdoor and indoor work environments
  • Exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold, and heavy equipment

Preferred Skills

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with industrial automation systems is a plus.
