Responsibilities
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of electrical tasks in commercial, industrial, or residential settings.
- Lay out, assemble, install, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, and related equipment in customer locations, buildings, and structures.
- Perform all types of wire terminations and troubleshoot electrical systems as required.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of electrical materials and tools; maintain personal hand tools per company policy.
- Analyze, interpret, and understand blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
- Direct, mentor, and coach apprentices and helpers; monitor work progress.
- Ensure accurate coding of timecards and proper completion of time and material sheets.
- Collaborate with crews of electricians or other jobsite tradespeople.
- Maintain orderly, safe work areas and clean job sites.
- Communicate professionally with employees, management, and customers.
- Use testing equipment to verify system functionality and troubleshoot issues.
- Conform to company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Requirements
- Work independently with minimal supervision and supervise crew members to ensure accurate and efficient project completion.
- Maintain working knowledge of applicable electrical codes, including NEC and NFPA standards.
- Proficiency in testing electrical systems.
- Working knowledge of control wiring is a plus.
- Perform physically demanding tasks such as digging trenches, laying conduit, or moving heavy objects using hand tools or power equipment.
- Operate two-handed tools/equipment, including cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jackhammers, etc.
- Operate mechanical hydraulic lifts (electric or gas powered) and company equipment (e.g., trenchers, backhoes) safely as required.
- Operate company trucks safely as required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow).
- Lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, reaching, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead for extended periods.
- Frequent walking and repetitive hand/arm/finger movements.
- Normal or corrected vision with the ability to safely perform all visual functions of the job.
- Ability to properly identify wire colors, including distinguishing between shades and brightness, to splice, join, and connect wires to fixtures and components.
- Sufficient hearing ability, with or without corrective devices, to communicate, respond to audible alarms, and safely perform essential job functions.
- Ability to work in noisy environments and at heights up to 60 feet on ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, roofs, or other safe platforms.
- Ability to work in confined or restricted spaces as required.
- Wear required PPE on the job site, including hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, safety shoes, gloves, harness, and any additional PPE required by the customer.
- Use construction site sanitary facilities, including portable restrooms.
- Work scheduled hours with overtime and potential night shifts on short notice; this is a safety-sensitive position.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or seven years of equivalent work experience.
- Journeyman license required in applicable state, locales, or projects.
- Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and reliable transportation.
- OSHA 10-hour and MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platform) certifications are a plus; the company may provide training and certification opportunities following hire.

Pay
$35 – $45 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Dayshift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM; weekends and nights as needed.
Special Requirements
- Ability to travel locally, regionally, in-state, and out-of-state as needed; evening and weekend work may be required.
