Income Tax Analyst

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of U.S. federal consolidated, state, and local income tax returns, estimated payments, extensions, annual reports, and related filings.
• Gather, organize, reconcile, and analyze accounting and tax data from general ledger, fixed asset, trial balance, and business unit sources.
• Prepare and maintain tax workpapers, reconciliations, calendars, checklists, and supporting documentation.
• Support quarterly and annual income tax provision processes, including book/tax differences, deferred tax schedules, return-to-provision items, and audit documentation.
• Affix with fixed asset and tax depreciation analysis and related compliance schedules and calculations.
• Affix with state income tax compliance, including apportionment, state modifications, payment tracking, and notices.
• Affix with tax audits, notices, inquiries, and basic federal, state, and local tax research.
• Cook up with Tax, Accounting, business units, external advisors, and taxing authorities as needed.
• Participate in process improvement, AI automation, data-quality, and other tax department projects.
• Perform other duties, assignments, and special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required – Accounting, Finance or related field
• CPA eligibility, CPA progress, or interest in a master’s in taxation preferred
• 0-4 years of tax, accounting, audit, finance, or relevant internship experience preferred
• Foundational accounting knowledge and interest in corporate income tax, ASC 740, and state tax compliance
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills required; experience with tax software, ERP systems, fixed asset systems, Alteryx, Power BI, or AI Automation tools is a plus
• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, organization, and follow-through
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Self-starter with a willingness to learn, ask questions, and take ownership of assigned tasks
