The starting pay range for this position is $24.75 - $26.75 per hour. The full pay range is $24.75 - $42.05 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.

About the role
Working at Target means helping all families discover the joy of everyday life. This role is part of the General Merchandise and Food Sales team, which leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. The team also manages Food & Beverage and Food Service, ensuring a fresh and food-safe experience. As an Inbound Operations Team Leader, you will enable efficient delivery to guests by owning pick, pack, and ship fulfillment work, as well as unloading trailer deliveries and preparing merchandise for the sales floor.

Responsibilities

- Execute daily and weekly workloads to meet department and store sales goals and guest engagement targets.
- Lead operations, freshness, accuracy, and efficiency with guidance from your direct leader.
- Assign daily tasks based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Assess GM backroom and sales floor areas, identifying gaps and developing plans to resolve issues.
- Enable product availability for purchase to ensure a consistent guest experience.
- Support organizational and operational change with guidance from your direct leader.
- Build and develop a team of GM Experts through selection, onboarding, training, and feedback.
- Demonstrate inclusivity, ethical conduct, safety, and compliance, holding team members accountable.
- Model and enforce safety culture, including hazard identification, incident response, and injury reporting.
- Support merchandise protection strategies, including ordering, storage, and application of best practices.
- Assume store-level leadership on duty (LOD) responsibilities as needed to enable the guest experience.
- Address store and offsite emergency and compliance needs.
- Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick-up (OPU), and Drive-Up (DU) while maintaining compliance.
- Perform all other duties as needed based on business requirements.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Age 18 or older.
- Previous retail experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to lead and hold others accountable.

- Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including lifting and carrying up to 44 pounds throughout a shift without assistance. This involves repetitive bending, twisting, reaching, and rotating motions.
- Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays; reliable and prompt attendance is necessary.
- Capability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout).
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).
