About the role

SURVICE Engineering is seeking an In Vivo Biomedical Researcher to support our Aberdeen Research Operation. You will accelerate your career and become an integral team member within the defense community.

Responsibilities

• Support scientific efforts by participating in the planning, execution, and analysis of experiments.
• Perform duties to include behavioral studies, tissue/sample collection, perfusion, and molecular biology techniques.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
• Schedule and execute experimental protocols.
• Ensure the quality of procedures and data.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
• Prepare and present presentations and written documents summarizing efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM-related field and 3-5 years of relevant experience (exceptional candidates with less experience will be considered).
• Experience with animal handling, neuro-cognitive behavioral assessments, in vivo bio-sampling, and tissue collection/necropsy.
• In vivo imaging (e.g., fiber-photometry), molecular biology (Cre-Lox, viral gene delivery, immunohistochemistry, western blot, etc.), or machine/deep learning (large dataset processing via Python, R, C++, MATLAB) is a plus.
• Experience documenting results in presentations, publications, technical reports, conference proceedings, and peer-reviewed journals.
• Active security clearance or eligible to obtain (U.S. citizenship required).

Pay

$85,000 - $105,000 depending on experience and education.
