Responsibilities

• Hands-on execution of in vivo studies involving infection, monitoring viremia, monitoring immune response, and tissue collection.
• Proficiency in preparation and dosing of agents via multiple routes of administration (including IM, PO, IP, SC, IN, and IV).
• Evaluation and implementation of novel in vivo techniques and technologies.
• Detailed record keeping of all experimental information in electronic lab notebooks.
• Handling of HIV+ materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in biological sciences, toxicology, or a related field with direct experience in animal handling (small mammals).
• Experience with injections via the intraperitoneal (IP), intracranial (IC), intramuscular (IM), intravenous (IV), and subcutaneous (SQ) routes of administration.
• Experience with observations of physical signs, differentiating and understanding normal animal behavior and behavior induced due to compound effects.
• Experience with gross examinations and necropsy.
• Knowledge of cGMPs and experience working in a GMP environment.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
