About the role

Hands-on execution of in vivo studies involving infection, monitoring viremia, monitoring immune response and tissue collection. Proficiency in preparation and dosing of agents via multiple routes of administration (including IM, PO, IP, SC, IN, and IV). Evaluation and implementation of novel in vivo techniques and technologies. Detailed record keeping of all experimental information in electronic lab notebooks. Handling of HIV+ materials is a requirement in this role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dose agents via multiple routes of administration (IM, PO, IP, SC, IN, IV)
• Evaluate and implement novel in vivo techniques and technologies
• Maintain detailed records of all experimental information in electronic lab notebooks
• Handle HIV+ materials

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in biological sciences, toxicology, or a related field with direct experience in animal handling (small mammals)
• Experience with injections via intraperitoneal (IP), intracranial (IC), intramuscular (IM), intravenous (IV), and subcutaneous (SQ) routes of administration
• Experience with observations of physical signs, differentiating normal animal behavior from behavior induced by compound effects
• Experience with gross examinations and necropsy
• Knowledge of cGMPs and experience working in a GMP environment
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Schedule

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
