About the role

The Gladstone-UCSF Institute of Genomic Immunology seeks to recruit faculty at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. Candidates must have a strong background in immunology, genomics, genetics, genome engineering, synthetic biology and/or clinical immunotherapy, and significant achievements and meaningful promise in their field.

Responsibilities

  • Develop extramurally sponsored research programs
  • Educate, mentor, and develop graduate and medical students
  • Contribute to the advancement of genomic immunology and immunotherapy research
  • Collaborate with other researchers and institutions

Requirements

  • Ph.D., M.D. (or equivalent degree), or M.D/Ph.D. degrees (or equivalent degrees)
  • Establishing or having an established research program in genomic immunology or immunotherapy research
  • Relevant areas of research include, but are not limited to: functional genomic studies in cells of the immune system, genome engineering to enhance adoptive cellular therapies, genetic/genomic studies of human diseases of the immune system, protein design and engineering in the context of the immune system and immunotherapies, systems immunology and immunotherapy, and preclinical diseases models and clinical translation of innovative immunotherapies, including areas beyond cancer immunotherapy
  • Strong background in immunology, genomics, genetics, genome engineering, synthetic biology and/or clinical immunotherapy, and significant achievements and meaningful promise in their field

Qualifications

  • Current and/or pending qualifications (e.g. board eligibility/certification, medical licensure, etc.) listed in the CV

Skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills
  • Ability to secure funding for research projects

Benefits

Salary range: $150,000 - $350,000 (DOE)
