About the role
The Assistant Nurse Manager is a registered nurse supporting and working alongside the Nurse Manager to oversee a clinical unit or service.
Responsibilities
- Lead staff in daily care delivery, coaching, and performance reviews.
- Promote teamwork, communication, and clinical excellence aligned with evidence-based practices.
- Participate in staff recruitment, retention, and mentorship efforts.
- Assist with resource management, budgeting, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support compliance with regulatory standards and foster a safe, patient-centered environment.
- Engage in professional development and apply data-driven decision making.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor's or Master's in Nursing.
- Current RN licensure (single state or multi-state compact).
- Basic Life Support certification.
- At least 3 years of clinical experience.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
