About the Role

The Assistant Nurse Manager is a registered nurse who supports the nurse manager in overseeing a clinical unit, fostering teamwork, and promoting clinical and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support staff through effective communication, coaching, and mentoring to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Participate in staff performance reviews, accountability, and staff development initiatives.
• Assist in resource management, budget monitoring, and applying quality improvement strategies.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration, promote evidence-based practice, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Support staff recruitment, retention, and professional growth while modeling professional nursing standards.
• Engage in shared governance, contribute to operational decision-making, and support performance improvement projects.
• Stay current with healthcare regulations, risk management, and accreditation requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing.
• Valid RN license (single or multi-state compact).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience.
