Implementation Consultant- Environmental Management System

About the role

You will work closely with clients to implement, configure, and optimize environmental management systems that support better decision-making. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will guide customers through successful deployments, training, testing, and adoption of technology solutions. This role combines project delivery, client engagement, and environmental expertise within a collaborative and remote-friendly environment. You will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions that help organizations manage risks and improve operational performance. Responsibilities

• Lead and support software implementation projects following established methodologies and best practices.
• Configure environmental management system solutions based on client requirements.
• Deliver client training sessions, support testing activities, and document project progress.
• Act as a primary liaison between clients and internal project teams.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Implementation Consultants, and Technical Consultants to ensure successful delivery.
• Partner with internal departments including Sales, Customer Success, Support, Engineering, and Product teams.
• Assist with project planning, timeline management, and identification of potential delivery risks.
• Support clients in understanding how environmental, health, safety, and quality solutions can improve their operations.
• Build trusted relationships with customers through professionalism, responsiveness, and strong communication.
• Maintain accurate project records, timesheets, and resource tracking.
• Achieve expected project utilization targets while delivering high-quality consulting services.
• Stay current on product features and industry practices to provide effective client guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in environmental management, sustainability, technology implementation, consulting, or a related area.
• Experience supporting software implementations or client-facing technology projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of environmental, health, safety, or quality management processes.
• Professional designation such as REM or EI is an asset.
• Strong understanding of how organizations use environmental management systems to improve operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build trust and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and project coordination abilities.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
• Professional approach with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Bilingualism is considered an asset.
