About the role
The Implant Coordinator is responsible for managing the inventory of implants and instruments used in surgical procedures. This includes establishing and maintaining acceptable inventory levels, arranging for loaned implants and instruments, and ensuring appropriate patient billing.
Responsibilities
- Establishes and maintains PAR levels of owned and consigned implants.
- Receives and reconciles loaned instruments and implants.
- Accounts for usage, charges, and documentation, ensuring “bill only” practices are followed.
- Maintains tissue logs and licensing.
- Coordinates with Supply Chain Manager to keep inventory current and manage PAR levels.
- Utilizes OR management software and Materials Management software to identify and project implant needs.
- Provides feedback and suggestions on cost-saving initiatives to the OR director and Executive Administrator.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a CAAHEP accredited Surgical Technician Program.
- Three years of Surgical Technician experience in an acute care setting.
- Three years of experience in materials management, OR, purchasing, or accounting.
- Strong communication skills.
Qualifications
- Surgical Technologist - CST certification or CRCST certification required; obtain within 6 months if not certified upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association.
- Fire Life Safety Training (LA City); obtain within 30 days if no card upon hire.

The hourly rate range for this position is $34.32 - $56.19.
