About the role
A talented Immigration Associate needed for a leading law firm that has been around for decades and employs hundreds of people. The ideal candidate will have:
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Admission to MI state bar.
- Three or more years of substantive immigration law experience.
- Significant experience handling removal defense matters.
- Experience with asylum matters, waivers of inadmissibility, and Immigration Court proceedings.
- Experience before the Board of Immigration Appeals preferred.
- Federal litigation experience, including habeas corpus matters, preferred.
- Familiarity with H-2A and H-2B visa matters is a plus.
- Willingness to work onsite in Detroit at least 3 days per week.
Responsibilities
Will be responsible for:
- Handling removal defense matters.
- Assisting with asylum cases.
- Working with the Board of Immigration Appeals.
- Participating in federal litigation, including habeas corpus matters.
- Managing H-2A and H-2B visa cases.
Requirements
