Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Required - Bachelor's degree in Clinical Engineering/related field or equivalent combination of education and technical experience.
- Minimum Experience: Required - Seven (7) years experience in the repair and maintenance of imaging equipment.
- Preferred: CBET or CRES certification.
Responsibilities
- Maintains documentation of all service events, performance tests, and corrective maintenance performed on a wide range of equipment types.
- Performs a variety of technical duties, coordinates preventive maintenance and repairs on sophisticated imaging equipment, accessories, and instruments with little direct supervision.
- Performs Preventive Maintenance (PM) and demand service on all imaging equipment to include but not limited to: CT, MRI, US, Cath Labs, Mammo, Nuclear Medicine, Angio, Fluoro, Portables, C-Arms, RIS, and General Radiography.
- Maintains compliance with all regulations and codes for imaging equipment.
- Provides lead supervision and coordinates the daily activities of junior Imaging Equipment Technicians.
- Manages and maintains the equipment electronic database.
- Prepares reporting including EOC, Medical Equipment Management Plan, equipment failure analysis, productivity reports, and safety reports.
- Makes recommendations on the purchase and disposition of imaging equipment.
- Analyzes, develops, designs, modifies, plans, installs, evaluates, certifies, and corrects system malfunctions on complex imaging equipment and systems that have vitally interrelated, and sometimes dispersed subsystems.
- Prepares and presents instructional material and conducts training in the techniques and methods of operating medical systems for technical personnel.
- Serves as a limited technical advisor to clinical personnel.
- Installs, repairs, calibrates, and maintains imaging equipment and instrumentation following standard practices.
