Image Scheduling Specialist-Rad Main

About the role

The Imaging Scheduling Specialist I screens, schedules, and directs patients to appropriate locations and services within the Imaging Department.

Responsibilities

• Receives all incoming phone calls and facilitates the scheduling of imaging procedures.
• Provides patients with division-specific patient education materials to ensure they are prepared for scheduled tests/procedures.
• Conducts financial discussions with patients and/or provider's office regarding fees for imaging procedures according to ABN and pre-authorization guidelines.
• Maintains department patient schedule, ensures blocks are full, and cancels appointments are rescheduled.

Requirements

In lieu of education, an Associate's Degree is required. Work experience includes office responsibilities such as scheduling, providing patient education, conducting financial discussions, and maintaining department patient schedules.

The compensation range for this position is $18.19 per hour - $29.47 per hour.
