Imaging Scheduling Representative

Position Summary

The Imaging Scheduling Representative schedules and pre-registers patients for services as requested. This position is responsible for obtaining current demographic, insurance, and other information required by third-party payers and works collaboratively with referrals, authorizations, and financial screening teams to ensure all necessary pre-authorizations have been secured, nonemergent procedures have been financially cleared, and patients are apprised of their financial obligations before the date of service.

Experience Qualifications

• Healthcare-related insurance, scheduling, front desk, or comparable experience is required.
• A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as required for the position.
• An associate degree in business or healthcare-related field is preferred.
• A CHAA: Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification is preferred.
