Hydro Technician 1st shift
Hayden Industrial, a leading manufacturer of industrial cooling systems, is seeking a Hydro Testing Technician to join our team. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Perform hydrostatic (hydro) testing on bundle assemblies in accordance with company procedures, ASME standards, and customer specifications.
- Set up and operate hydro testing equipment including pumps, gauges, valves, and fittings.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, test procedures, and pressure specifications.
- Inspect components visually using measuring devices to detect leaks, deformation, or other defects post-test.
- Maintain accurate test records, logs, and reports for quality documentation and traceability.
- Communicate test results with Quality Control and Engineering teams.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of test equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including lockout/tagout, PPE, and pressure safety practices.
- Assist with the assembly and preparation of bundles for testing.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and high-quality production output.
- Identify and report non-conforming parts or assemblies.
This position involves safety-sensitive job duties and will be considered a safety-sensitive position for purpose of the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act (“The Unity Bill.”)
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1–3 years of experience in industrial manufacturing or pressure testing preferred.
- Familiarity with hydrostatic testing procedures and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and blueprints.
- Basic understanding of pressure ratings, fluid dynamics, and testing principles.
- Proficient with hand tools and mechanical equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- ASME Code knowledge or certification (Section VIII / Pressure Vessels) is a plus.
Work Environment
Non-temperature-controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles typically associated with metal fabrication shops. All employees are required to wear personal protective equipment including noise/hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, (paint masks, respirator when required), and OSHA-compliant safety boots/shoes within the manufacturing facility.

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
- Regularly required to stand for long periods of time.
- Requires walking, ability to reach, ascend/descend ladders, bend, kneel, and stoop.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Schedule
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Occasional days and weekends may be required as job duties demand.
