Engineering Technician - 1st Shift

About the role

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking an Engineering Technician - 1st Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $22.00 - $25.00 per hour. The shift hours are 8am - 5pm.

Responsibilities

• Supports engineering and design teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Assists with daily technical and administrative activities
• Prepares and deploys Manufacturing Information (MI) to the production floor, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Maintains and controls engineering drawings, documentation, and revision records in accordance with company standards
• Supports the management and distribution of manufacturing information across relevant teams
• Contributes to continuous improvement (CI) initiatives to enhance engineering processes and workflows
• Affords assistance with departmental functional development projects and process enhancements
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date engineering department data and records
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including production and quality, to support operational goals

Qualifications

• High School diploma from an accredited institution
• Previous experience with Microsoft Office and engineering/document management systems
• Associate degree in engineering technology, drafting, or other related field is preferred
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering support environment preferred
• Previous experience with Manufacturing Information (MI) systems
• Previous experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
