Job Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot equipment issues
- Develop new ideas and solutions
- Drive safety improvements
- Aid in layout planning, installation, and testing of manufacturing equipment
- Work on short-term projects with a sense of urgency
- Support and implement Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement activities
- Work with vendors/suppliers to procure and install tooling, fixtures, and equipment
- Create documentation for processes used in building products
- Recommend product improvement and maintain standard drawings/specs
- Support new product launches and development (PDP Process)
- Provide documentation for estimating the cost of materials and labor of manufactured product
- Support daily production through troubleshooting, testing, and validation of product
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Show initiative and work independently
- Adapt to changing business circumstances
- Use computer programs including MS Office, JD Edwards (preferred), SolidWorks, etc.
- Process engineering change orders (ECO’s)
- Document processes in work instructions format
- Understand DFM (Design for Manufacturability)
- Know and experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects
- Know product costing labor and material
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training)
- 2-years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

- Ability to use computer programs including MS Office, MRP (JD Edwards preferred), SolidWorks, etc. – intermediate level
- Ability to process engineering change orders (ECO’s) as they relate to bills of material and product routings
- Ability to document processes in work instructions format
- Knowledge on DFM (Design for Manufacturability) to provide input for new and existing products
- Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects
- Knowledge of product costing labor and material
