About the role
Candidates may reside in Nashville, TN or Louisville, KY. The Hybrid Sales Team supports Field Sales, operational, and Marketing initiatives by utilizing approved best practices, job aids, and quality metrics to build lasting relationships with healthcare practices nationwide. Candidates must thrive in a fast-paced setting, using phone and in-person channels to engage healthcare professionals and achieve brand objectives.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-person and virtual coverage for field sales vacancies and other business-needed support.
- Use sales techniques to ensure positive results with assigned healthcare professionals.
- Verify and complete required data entry, including interaction details and follow-up actions, ensuring data integrity.
- Manage daily sales call activity to optimize time and maximize sales objectives.
- Listen and respond appropriately to customer questions and needs, ensuring alignment with a “call plan” objective.
- Demonstrate thorough product knowledge and communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately using proper medical terminology within Compliance guidelines.
- Complete all product and Compliance training (self-study, testing, fieldwork, classroom, or electronic) and meet training expectations.
- Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Process customer requests for product samples and resources in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
- Project a professional company image in all interactions with customers and internal partners.
- Maintain a positive attitude and customer focus, resolving issues, concerns, or questions promptly.
- Manage call activity and messaging in accordance with AbbVie-approved best practices and compliance regulations.
- Communicate effectively and promptly with your Manager.
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules.
Requirements
- Up to 50-70% travel for in-field coverage, national conferences, and training; flexibility to adapt to occasional changes in geographies, travel plans, and schedules.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 0-2 years of relevant sales experience; healthcare industry experience involving interaction with physicians and office staff preferred.
- Ability to work independently, with strong organizational and superior communication skills.
- Professional phone etiquette.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to learn, assimilate information, and apply established best practices, including:
- Daily activity, goals, and metrics.
- Efficient use of databases and core tools.
- Strict adherence to quality control standards and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with field sales, operations, and marketing to identify methods for improving effectiveness.
