Hybrid Music MA Program Coordinator/Assistant

Hybrid role supporting the daily operations of the Music and Music Education MA program across fall, spring, and summer terms.

About the role

During the academic year, the Program Assistant maintains regular communication with students, assists with registration, updates program materials, and analyzes student questionnaires. In the summer, the incumbent serves as the primary resource for incoming and continuing students, coordinating housing, registration, and a variety of social and cultural activities in New York City.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular communication with continuing students and serve as a primary point of contact for program-related inquiries.
• Monitor student feedback and escalate concerns or issues to the Program Director as appropriate.
• Assist incoming students with program onboarding, including registration, orientation, and access to program resources.
• Update and maintain program materials, handbooks, and informational resources to ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Respond to student inquiries regarding housing, course registration, program requirements, and campus resources.
• Coordinate and facilitate student engagement activities, including cultural events, social gatherings, educational excursions, and recreational outings.
• Provide administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth delivery of program activities and services.
• Collaborate with program staff, faculty, and campus partners to support program objectives and enhance the student experience.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Three years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with Qualtrics software.
• Familiarity with TC registration process.
• Familiarity with Summer Hybrid Music MA degree requirements.
• Familiarity with summer social options in NYC.

Pay

$18.00 per hour.
