Responsibilities

  • Provide the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service-related items.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing solutions and outcomes at the time of service.
  • Train and perform on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites.
  • Participate in certified training through Service Technical Academy to build skill sets for continued opportunities.
  • Develop skills to troubleshoot and resolve both technical issues and customer needs.
  • Keep JCI, contractors, and the customer informed of job progress and issues as needed.
  • Maintain attendance requirements for required Union training for the first year.
  • Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facilities run efficiently, including upselling opportunities.
  • Generate quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

Requirements

  • Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
  • Willing to travel within a four-hour range from home, including overnight stays.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls ethically and professionally.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Prioritize safety in all forms.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license and background check.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of trade school or college in a technical emphasis preferred.

Skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and troubleshooting.
