HVAC Truck Based Journeyman Mechanic

How Will You Do It

• Work on light commercial and/or heavy commercial teams with advanced equipment.
• Provide maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
• Partner with Journeymen in the repair of centrifugal, steam turbines, and open-drive screw chillers.
• Perform system trouble shooting, repair, and aftermarket services.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility efficiency.
• Write and communicate quotes to customers and participate in JCI’s Service Plus Rewards program.

Required

• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
• Minimum of three (3) years commercial and/or industrial mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
• Experience with rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, compressors, plumbing, and mechanical shaft alignment.
• Able to use vibration equipment and perform mechanical shaft alignment.
• Able to troubleshoot drivelines using vibration equipment.
• Travel up to 70% to support branch customers activities, trouble shooting, installation, and repair.
• Prioritize safety in all forms.

Pay & Benefits

Pay Range: $45 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet.
Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
