Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking skilled HVAC Technicians to support the growth of its HVAC business in North America. The position offers opportunities to work on cutting-edge facilities, HVAC chillers, and commercial products.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of service to resolve facility inefficiencies and service-related issues.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers, offering solutions and outcomes during commissioning and aftermarket service.
• Offer recommendations and solutions to ensure facility efficiency, including upselling opportunities.
• Generate quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

Requirements

• Must be a member of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
• Minimum of three (3) years of practical working experience on Residential and/or ducted products, air cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, AHU’s or Roof Top ducted units.
• Strong HVAC/mechanical troubleshooting experience, including repair of centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, and screw chiller system components.
• Travel may be required 10% to 20% to support startup and commissioning activities as well as aftermarket service trouble shooting.
• Pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies.
• Enroll in training programs and JCI’s Service Technical Academy (STA) to gain knowledge in HVAC products and sales quoting.
• Work collaboratively with other local market mechanics.
• Able to write and communicate effectively about customer problems, causes, and corrective actions.
• Able to prioritize safety in all forms.

Qualifications

• Universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing, and valid driver's license.
