HVAC Technician, Saturday-Wednesday 3rd shift

About the role

The HVAC Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various mechanical systems, including coolers and freezers, refrigeration chillers, chilled water systems, air compressors, electrical power systems, and stand-by power generation equipment. They will also ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and Good Business Practices (GDPs).

Responsibilities

• Maintain coolers and freezers including Ultra Low temperature Freezers
• Maintain Centrifugal and Reciprocating refrigeration chillers
• Maintain Chilled water systems including distribution and condenser pumps
• Maintain Air Compressors
• Electrical power systems and stand-by power generation equipment
• Follow current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs) and good business practices (G)
• Participate in rotational on-call for site emergency work
• Ensure safe and efficient hands-on maintenance of all plant manufacturing equipment and related support equipment with strict adherence to SOP's, cGMP's, GDPs and quality standards
• Become fully gown qualified to work within Production areas
• Communicate and coordinate with each department and within Facilities Management when planned and unplanned work events occur
• May plan and schedule outside contractors/vendors to perform scheduled and/or non-scheduled Preventative Maintenance or general work
• Demonstrate basic problem-solving skills
• Able to learn and follow routine procedures independently as well as part of a team
• Comfortable and flexible to work in a changing environment
• Able to lift, push, and pull at least 50lbs
• Seek to build and maintain positive working relationships with the business
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Maintain effective time management skills to allow deadlines to be met in a timely manner
• Have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and overall comfort and general familiarity with computer systems

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of related experience or HSD/GED with 5+ years of related experience for HVAC Technician II
• Minimum 5+ years of related experience or HSD/GED with 8+ years of related experience for HVAC III
• Minimum 8+ years of related experience or HSD/GED with 8+ years of related experience for HVAC IV

Qualifications

• Technical school training with field experience in AC, Heating, Chilled Water Systems, Building Automation Controls, and Maintenance
• EPA certified for refrigeration gases
