About the role
Join a fast-paced facility maintenance team as an HVAC Technician II performing preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC systems. You will troubleshoot equipment, analyze operational data, and ensure systems run efficiently and safely. This role also supports facility reliability through accurate service documentation, inventory management, and proactive recommendations for future maintenance improvements.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
- Monitor and service building automation / BMS systems and perform controls-assisted diagnostics.
- Read and interpret sequence of operation, controls schematics, blueprints, and service/maintenance manuals.
- Identify and document root causes of issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure systems run efficiently and safely.
- Support facility reliability through accurate service documentation, inventory management, and proactive recommendations for future maintenance improvements.
- Support on-call availability for after-hours emergency work (rotation).
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on HVAC experience maintaining and troubleshooting commercial/industrial equipment (ACUs, AHUs, heat pumps, VAVs, DDC controls, and ventilation systems).
- Experience monitoring and servicing building automation / BMS systems and performing controls-assisted diagnostics.
- Working knowledge of HVAC refrigeration service procedures (recovery, vacuum/charging, gauges/service tools) including brazing refrigerant piping.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with demonstrated ability to identify root causes and document corrective actions.
- Valid driver’s license.
- EPA Universal Refrigeration License (required).
- High school diploma; completion of a 2-year HVAC technical certificate or state-approved HVAC license preferred/accepted.
- OSHA-aligned safety mindset; ability to follow PPE and hazardous materials procedures, including job hazard analysis (JHA).
- Clear communication skills (written service reports/logs and verbal coordination with team and stakeholders).
- Spanish bilingual is a plus.
- Chiller/boiler and kitchen equipment maintenance experience is a plus.
