Key Responsibilities
- Supporting in the identification, vetting, hiring, and termination of qualified labor and material suppliers.
- Attending onsite preconstruction meetings to facilitate coordination between all subcontractors.
- Identifying opportunities for cost savings and value engineering in project designs.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
- Conducting material take-offs to determine required supplies.
- Operating hand and power tools.
- Performing carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks as needed.
- Coordinating with a or be the qualified representative to oversee all material deliveries to jobsite or storage facility.
- Conducting quality control inspections of work, especially focused early on during construction, to ensure work is being performed according to code, safely, in a timely manner, and with minimal waste of materials.
- Ensuring that all work adheres to safety standards and project requirements.
- Attending, or coordinating with a qualified representative to attend, all necessary inspections.
- Working proactively to accelerate progress where possible while maintaining high quality standards and safety compliance.
Qualifications
- A valid driver’s license and current insurance are required.
- Flexibility to work some weekends/evenings and to travel when needed.
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, walk, bend, climb, sit, and stand.
- Fluency in English is required; Spanish language skills are preferred.
- Basic computer literacy required.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Projects, Excel, and Bluebeam preferred.
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
