Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead HVAC technicians and installers on commercial job sites
- Ensure installations meet project specifications, manufacturer guidelines, and local building codes
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and other trades
- Enforce safety policies and maintain OSHA compliance on all sites
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation or system performance issues
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings for accurate system layout
- Order, track, and manage tools, materials, and equipment
- Train and mentor junior technicians and helpers
- Conduct quality control inspections and ensure environmental and safety standards are met
- Monitor project timelines and support on-schedule completion
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC installation, service, or maintenance
- Prior experience in a foreman, lead technician, or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of ductwork, piping, refrigeration systems, and controls
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and job-site safety practices
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
- Physical ability to lift equipment and work in varied environmental conditions
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- HVAC certification or completion of an accredited apprenticeship program
- Experience working with Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
