Commercial HVAC Foreman

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and on-site training for team members.
• Assist Field Supervisor in evaluating skills and create development plans for each technician.
• Demonstrate superior customer relations skills.
• Maintain one of the cleanest vehicles and proper uniform.
• Obtain and maintain MSCA Star Certification; take and complete the Star Certification Test.
• Assist and train technicians in their communication with customers.
• Respond to after-hours and emergency service calls when the primary technician is unavailable.
• Proactively address potential “warranty” or “credits” situations.
• Ensure compliance of team members with all safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure all quoted work is performed at or under allotted time.
• Consistently attend or teach union training courses for continued education.
• Serve as the technical “go-to” for the Team Dispatcher in the Field Supervisor’s absence.
• Assist sales and quote department with required technical information.

Requirements

• Extensive HVAC field knowledge with a minimum of 10 years’ service field experience.
• Extensive safety knowledge and training with a minimum of 10 years’ field experience.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills (a plus).
• Ability to organize and plan daily responsibilities effectively.

Pay

$60 per hour. The hourly rate is determined by the CBA/rate sheet and test results.
