What You Will Do
Johnson Controls Inc. is seeking skilled HVAC Mechanics to support the growth of their HVAC business in North America. Mechanics must have practical work experience in light commercial or commercial mechanical equipment.
How Will You Do It
- Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
- Partner with Journeymen in the repair of centrifugal, steam turbines, and open-drive screw chillers.
- Provide solutions and outcomes at the time of commissioning and aftermarket service.
- Offer recommendations and solutions to ensure facilities run efficiently, including upselling opportunities.
- Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
Required
- Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
- Minimum of three (3) years commercial and/or industrial, mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry, including rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, compressors, plumbing, and mechanical shaft alignment.
- Able to use vibration equipment to troubleshoot drivelines and able to perform mechanical shaft alignment.
- Able to travel up to 20% to support branch customer activities, trouble-shooting, installation, and repair.
- Prioritize safety in all forms.

Pay & Benefits
The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role. However, exceptional candidates may bring unique skills and experiences that exceed the typical profile. The pay range is $55 hourly, determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
