Summary Of Human Service Professional Role The Human Service Professional supports individuals facing mental health challenges, homelessness, or involvement with the criminal justice system, providing trauma-informed, recovery-focused services in diverse settings such as community centers, shelters, jails, and schools. Responsibilities include assisting with Medicaid and FoodShare enrollmentSocial Security, ID, employment, and housing applicationsMental health coordination and recovery supportLife skills, coping strategies, budgeting, and medication managementEducational support for GED or technical collegeSupporting Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) They collaborate with clients and teams, maintain accurate documentation, and utilize evidence-based practices to promote independence and stability.
