Human Services Licensing Representative - Northeast Region

Are you eager to help ensure that adults receive safe and supportive care in licensed homes? As a Human Services Licensing Representative, you will play a key role in keeping communities strong by promoting health, safety, and fairness in personal care homes.

About the role

This role focuses on ensuring that personal care homes follow state laws that protect the health, safety, and rights of residents. It involves inspections, investigations, coordination with agencies, and clear documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections to determine compliance with state laws and regulations
• Investigate complaints and incidents to gather factual details
• Assist residents with moving from noncompliant homes to safer living arrangements
• Monitor correction plans to decide appropriate timelines for administrative actions
• Work with various agencies to collect information relevant to compliance
• Prepare reports, licensing packets, and recommendations based on findings

Schedule

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch
• Frequent travel throughout the Northeast Region (Berks, Bradford, Cameron, Carbon, Clinton, Centre, Columbia, Lackawanna, Lehigh, Luzerne, Lycoming, Monroe, Montour, Northampton, Northumberland, Pike, Potter, Schuylkill, Snyder, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Union, Wayne, and Wyoming counties)
• Home headquartered position; must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania

Requirements

• Two years of professional experience gathering and analyzing information in a social service or law enforcement program, and a bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of experience and training
• Must meet the PA residency requirement
• Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Northeast Region (Berks, Bradford, Cameron, Carbon, Clinton, Centre, Columbia, Lackawanna, Lehigh, Luzerne, Lycoming, Monroe, Montour, Northampton, Northumberland, Pike, Potter, Schuylkill, Snyder, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Union, Wayne, or Wyoming counties)
• Must be able to perform essential job functions
