About the role
The Omaha Branch Liaison is an HR Specialist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, assigned to the Omaha Branch. This role provides comprehensive Human Resources support within the branch, including overseeing employee engagement programs and activities, collaborating with colleagues across the district, and representing the 10th District in system-wide settings.
Responsibilities
- Acts as a liaison for Omaha branch management and employees by addressing HR needs and answering questions in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Serves as point of contact for cross-district initiatives and inquiries, using a cross-district lens to consult on a wide range of HR issues and advocate for cross-district organizations.
- Develops a systematic approach to collecting cross-district data/feedback to identify strengths, opportunities, and trends.
- Provides exceptional customer service and liaises with other business units.
- Influences HR strategy and programs by championing the branch perspective.
- Participates in the development, coordination, and implementation of branch-focused engagement programs, as well as District-wide engagement programs.
- Maintains strong knowledge of Human Resources policies/procedures and working knowledge of Federal Reserve System benefit and wellness programs.
- Keeps leadership informed on local issues and initiatives and actively participates in regular conference calls/meetings with other department HR staff/management.
- Maintains strong knowledge of applications and other tools that support efficient HR operations and meet customer needs.
- Determines scope of projects and develops recommendations, creates and follows timelines, ensures timely and accurate final products, and suggests process improvements to management.
- Completes ad hoc projects and performs other duties as assigned.
- Handles confidential and sensitive HR topics with professionalism and discretion.
Qualifications
- Typically requires at least 3-6 years or more of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in Business or applicable Human Resources field, or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or experience.
- Collaboration and influence capabilities to engage peers and leaders to champion and support programs.
- Employee engagement experience preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to extract and synthesize data in order to make data-backed business decisions preferred.
- Ability to clearly and effectively tailor communications to people at all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional organizational skills, and acute attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
