About the role

As a Human Resources Specialist, you will be responsible for managing HR functions within the plant, focusing on timekeeping, recruiting, employee relations, and administrative support at our Princeton, KY facility, a manufacturer of quality baked snacks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform weekly payroll activities, including timecard review and verification for hourly employees.
  • Process payroll-related transactions, including retroactive pay adjustments and payroll deductions.
  • Monitor employee attendance and maintain accurate attendance records.
  • Support full-cycle recruitment for hourly positions, including job posting, candidate screening, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Prepare new hire materials, issue employee badges, and coordinate locker assignments.
  • Maintain employee records to ensure accuracy, compliance, and integrity.
  • Assist with annual benefits enrollment activities and support employee engagement, recognition, and wellness programs.
  • Serve as a resource for employees by responding to questions related to payroll, benefits, compensation, and HR programs.
  • Provide administrative support for the front office, including coordinating meetings, managing phone inquiries, greeting visitors, and distributing mail.

Requirements

  • Aceess to a computer with internet connection.
  • Associate's degree in human resources, business or related field is strongly preferred, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • For positions supporting a manufacturing site, experience in a plant environment is preferred.
  • Excellent problem solving, and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong personal accountability for high-quality work with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience using HRIS Systems such as Workday and Dimensions UKG is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.

Qualifications

  • This full-time, on-site role is on first shift, with occasional flexibility to other shifts.

Skills

  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
