Human Resources Specialist

About the role

Our Human Resources team believes the best way we can demonstrate Iredell Health System's values of Respect, Integrity, Communication and Collaboration is by being actively engaged in the employment needs for each individual team member. This frontline opportunity serves as a specialist focusing on employee onboarding, orientation, and contract staff. We count on this member of our team to present and maintain an organized process for our new team members, apprentices, students and contract or interim staff. Additionally, the specialist can assist with payroll, creating badges, orientation classes and other tasks related to caring for our team members.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate employee onboarding, orientation, and contract staff processes.
• Present and maintain an organized process for new team members, apprentices, students, and contract or interim staff.
• Assist with payroll processing.
• Create employee badges.
• Conduct orientation classes.
• Perform other tasks related to caring for team members.

Requirements

• High school diploma; preference for at least an Associate degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
• Experience or knowledge with Human Resources functions.
• One year of clerical or administrative experience, including customer service experience.
• Proficiency in the use of personal computers and business software.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to create a positive environment.
• Enjoyment of new tasks and projects, with the autonomy to complete routine processes.
• Understanding of respect and confidentiality related to serving team members.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for the position, including walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, and sitting for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
