About the role
The HR Specialist will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks, including owning several different personnel-related administrative tasks and providing clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources-related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. This position is open to the Phoenix/Tempe Metro area.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the HR team
- Help organize and provide advice, assistance, and follow-up on company policies, benefits, procedures, and documentation
- Ability to be discreet and maintain strict confidentiality regarding payroll, benefits, and employee issues, benefits, and attendance records
- Maintaining files for employees and their documents, benefits, and attendance records, including Dayforce data changes as assigned
- Reviewing HR processes and suggesting changes to improve efficiency and scalability
- Supports HR reporting needs (e.g., termination; compliance; HR metrics; corrective actions) including maintenance of HRBP team trackers and special projects, and processes
- Participates in the creation of clear, concise, meaningful, and engaging presentations that help leaders and employees understand programs, policies, and processes
- Be part of our efforts to improve the employee experience and generate greater employee engagement; participation with and backup for scheduled New Employee Orientation Presentation(s)
- Designated point of contact for workers' compensation reporting; partnership with HRBP team, leaders and workers' comp management company
- First point of contact and main manager for HR inbox; route emails and HR tickets to appropriate individual/team
- Participation in weekly, monthly or yearly audits
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- HRCI certification or SHRM designation is a plus but not required
- 3 years or more of Customer Service experience
- 1 year or more in HR, Marketing or Communications
- Experience with electronic ticketing systems is a plus
- MS Office including advanced PowerPoint skills and good working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint and Teams
- Knowledge of HRIS systems like Dayforce, Workday, etc.
