About the role
The Human Resources Specialist supports internal processes, responds to employee inquiries, and provides administrative support and coordination of activities in the Human Resources department. This role supports the employee experience including recruiting, onboarding, talent development, performance management and employee engagement.
Responsibilities
- Perform HR support functions, including the support of recruiting, onboarding & orientation, employee engagement, Internship program, exit process, performance review program, HR metrics and HRIS.
- Provide first line customer service to internal and external applicants; responds to employee HR inquiries and requests via Agtegra’s HelpDesk.
- Lead the full cycle recruitment process for various positions throughout the organization: create job descriptions, utilize the applicant tracking system to post positions, review and interview applicants, work with hiring managers on process, complete offer letter and pre-hire process, initiate and review background check and pre-employment drug screening, assist with onboarding new hires.
- Aid in HR projects and programs, including but not limited to employee referral program, employee recognition programs (service milestones and service awards), and new hire orientation.
- Administer and support the performance review program and system. Troubleshoot issues, create reports and communications for managers and employees.
- Maintain all records and employee information (applicant tracking, new hire to termination) in the HRIS system. Runs metrics and analytics on employee data.
- Responsible for record keeping and report preparation: recruitment and selection processes; prepares and maintains required documentation; updates job descriptions; processes invoices.
- Cook up the random drug testing program.
- Coordinate onboarding and exit processes to ensure smooth transition for new employees and provides feedback for organizational development.
- Absorb other duties as assigned to support business objectives and department goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with at least two (2) years of related office and/or HR experience or combination of comparable education and experience.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
- English proficiency.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with human resources recruitment, performance management, recognition programs preferred.
- Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) database maintenance preferred.
