Human Resources Specialist
Summary
We are seeking an organized and people-focused professional to support day-to-day HR operations within a manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career HR professional looking to gain hands-on experience in employee relations, HR administration, onboarding, compliance, and organizational support while partnering closely with HR leaders and plant management. Responsibilities
- Support daily HR operations and administrative activities.
- Assist with new hire onboarding, orientation, and preparation of onboarding documentation and employee files.
- Maintain personnel records and ensure HR documentation is accurate and compliant.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and employment practices.
- Assist with job evaluations, classifications, and compensation documentation.
- Prepare and maintain job descriptions, salary information, and organizational reports.
- Support unemployment claims and related documentation.
- Manage job abandonment processes and employee status updates.
- Coordinate plant uniform orders and communicate directly with vendors.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating interviews as needed.
- Create reports, organization charts, and other HR-related documentation.
- Partner with HR team members and plant leadership to address employee-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (Associate's degree will also be considered).
- 0-2 years of HR, administrative, customer service, or related experience.
- Internship experience will be considered.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Pay
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
