About the role
This position provides Human Resources (HR) support in high-volume recruitment, selection, onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, benefits, payroll, and government compliance. We are seeking individuals who can work effectively as part of a team and provide employee support and guidance.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-volume, full-life-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and dispositioning applicants.
- Maintain up-to-date candidate status and reporting information using MS Excel and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Facilitate full-cycle new hire onboarding and orientation process.
- Work with HR Director to provide support related to all company benefits (e.g., medical, vision, dental).
- Process, verify, and maintain personnel-related documentation.
- Facilitate offboarding procedures for terminated employees.
- Compile and prepare job descriptions from various sources (e.g., online databases).
- Explain company procedures, benefits, and personnel policies to employees or job applicants.
- Maintain personnel and vendor files in accordance with company policy.
- Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information for personnel actions.
- Collaborate with Sr. Recruiter and HR Manager to compile all necessary data for government compliance requirements.
- Prepare reports as needed on a variety of HR topics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- BS/BA in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Two to five years of relevant experience in an HR office environment (additional education may substitute for experience or vice versa).
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Proactive in tracking tasks and following up with candidates.
- Adaptable, flexible, and organized in daily activities.
- Knowledge of laws and government regulations pertaining to employee selection, hiring, and business practices.
- Basic knowledge of principles and procedures for compensation and benefits, selection, personnel recruitment, customer service, and employee training.
- Ability to problem-solve and maintain confidential information.
- Proficiency with electronic equipment (e.g., computer, scanner, fax machine).
- Ability to communicate via face-to-face, phone, email, text messaging, and video conferencing.
- Experience working within web-based systems (e.g., SharePoint, Applicant Tracking Systems, New Hire Onboarding Systems).
- Demonstrated experience maintaining updated candidate status and reporting information using MS Excel and ATS systems.
Work Conditions
Work is primarily performed in an office environment.
