HUMAN RESOURCES PARTNER GENERALIST LEAD
The Human Resources Partner Generalist Lead within the Human Resources Shared Services (HRSS) team will support Clinical Departments within the HR Shared Services Model. This role serves as the primary contact for HR-related matters, including employment, compensation, employee relations, international recruitment and retention, organizational planning, training and development, and onboarding.
About the role
Independently managing HR services at UAB, the HRP Generalist Lead provides strategic human resources advisement while fostering collaboration with HRSS and department leadership. HR Shared Services supports a diverse range of departments, centers, and institutes, focusing on operational effectiveness and strategic HR partnerships. Employees in HRSS must navigate distinctly different cultures and business needs, requiring a high level of adaptability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
The incumbent partners closely with the Office of Human Resources and/or Dean's Office to ensure compliance with institutional policies and practices while advancing UAB's mission and shared values. The Lead HR Partner serves as a trusted resource and advisor to leadership and will supervise or mentor lower-level HR staff.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR contact for Clinical Departments within the HR Shared Services model.
- Provide strategic human resources advisement and foster collaboration with HRSS and department leadership.
- Manage HR services including employment, compensation, employee relations, international recruitment and retention, organizational planning, training and development, and onboarding.
- Partner with the Office of Human Resources and/or Dean's Office to ensure compliance with institutional policies and practices.
- Supervise or mentor lower-level HR staff.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Eight (8) years of related experience.
- Work experience may NOT substitute for the education requirement.
Pay
Annual salary range: $57,940 - $94,150.
Schedule
- Shift: Day/1st Shift.
- Work Arrangement: Remote/Hybrid eligible (final schedule to be determined by the department/hiring manager).
