About the role
The HR Manager will serve as a strategic business partner with a hands-on, "roll up your sleeves" mindset to help build, scale, and expand the business. This role aligns human resources initiatives with organizational and business objectives while actively supporting both day-to-day operations and long-term growth priorities.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates safety as a core value and establish a safe work environment by actively leading the safe execution of work.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues.
- Counsels and coaches employees, providing guidance on career development and performance improvement.
- Coordinates training and establishes clear organizational development plans to achieve a high-performance organization.
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Oversees worker's compensation and injury management program.
- Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
- Carries out other responsibilities related to position as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in Human Resources Management or related degree.
- Minimum of three years’ experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including employee relations, human performance, organizational diagnosis, training, federal and state employment laws.
- Strong background in training and organizational development.
- Safety knowledge, experience, and interest, including regulatory compliance, safety standards, conscious and willing to work in an industrial environment, and being a champion for safety.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities.
- Good time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Strong initiative and perseverance.
- Business acumen including cultural awareness and relationship management.
- Experience in identifying legal requirements and government reporting/regulations affecting HR functions to ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Proficient in the advanced features of Microsoft Office software products and HRIS applications.
- Proficiency in Mandarin, spoken and written, required.
