About the role

The HR Manager will serve as a strategic business partner with a hands-on, "roll up your sleeves" mindset to help build, scale, and expand the business. This role aligns human resources initiatives with organizational and business objectives while actively supporting both day-to-day operations and long-term growth priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates safety as a core value and establish a safe work environment by actively leading the safe execution of work.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues.
  • Counsels and coaches employees, providing guidance on career development and performance improvement.
  • Coordinates training and establishes clear organizational development plans to achieve a high-performance organization.
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Oversees worker's compensation and injury management program.
  • Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Carries out other responsibilities related to position as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in Human Resources Management or related degree.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including employee relations, human performance, organizational diagnosis, training, federal and state employment laws.
  • Strong background in training and organizational development.
  • Safety knowledge, experience, and interest, including regulatory compliance, safety standards, conscious and willing to work in an industrial environment, and being a champion for safety.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • Good time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong initiative and perseverance.
  • Business acumen including cultural awareness and relationship management.
  • Experience in identifying legal requirements and government reporting/regulations affecting HR functions to ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Proficient in the advanced features of Microsoft Office software products and HRIS applications.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin, spoken and written, required.
