About the role

Aramark is seeking a Human Resources Manager to support the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Operations in Lincoln, Nebraska. This fully onsite position requires a flexible, event-based schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with operations to develop and execute a proactive staffing plan, including accurate job postings, consistent hiring events, and partnerships with contingent staffing vendors.
  • Support hiring managers throughout the hiring process for all hourly team members.
  • Manage staffing for events including Soccer, Volleyball, Football, Catering, and Special Events.
  • Manage employee relations issues ensuring compliance with corporate/district policies and federal/state regulations, and communicate benefits, policy, and other HR-related changes.
  • Train and coach management/supervisory staff in interviewing, hiring, performance reviews, counseling, diversity, disciplinary actions, and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct and facilitate all employee orientations and onboarding, including new employee and annual trainings.
  • Manage employee engagement initiatives and develop Engagement Action Plans.
  • Manage, report, and analyze required HR metrics.
  • Maintain accurate information in electronic and paper employee records, track training/certifications, and develop an employee file audit plan.
  • Assist with HR projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Provide benefits and payroll assistance as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources Management.
  • HR/SPHR certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Human Resources planning and organizational development experience desired.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Employment relations experience, including conducting investigations and resolution development.
  • Proven ability to effectively interact, communicate, and consult with multiple levels of management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to train and make presentations.
  • Organized, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Initiative to improve processes as needed.
  • Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods and walk frequently throughout the facility.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
